rules of football

football is played in whole to make this game m,ore safe and comfortable different rules have been made for this game.there are 17 rules in total. some of them  are briefly described below.

field of play:the game can be conducted in both artificial grass or natural grass. ground should be in rectangular shape and ground should occupies  some specific length.the field is divided into two way half by and halfway line.

ball:it should be spherical in shape and must contain certain pressure.it should be made with leather and 68-70 cm in circumference.

number of player:each team should consist of 11 players including goal keeper.if the team consist  less than seven players then game will not be conducted .

equipments: all players should wear jersey,boots,shorts and stockings.

referee: referee conduct the game with safety and comfortably . in the absence of referee game will not be conducted. referee has the power to decide what is right and what is wrong. referee can punished the players if they have done wrong things in the game by giving them warning and sending them out of the ground.

assistant  referee: there are four assistant referee . three are in the ground and one remain out of the ground . they can judge the players and give information to the referee.

duration of the match: whole game is played in 90 minutes .game is divided into two halfs each of 45 minutes. the half time interval must not exceed more than 15 minute.if there is equal goals in the knock out game referee add more 30 minutes in the game.it also divides into two half each of 15 minutes .in this time also both team don't score then penalty is done which decide the winner of the game.

method of scoring: ball should cross the line of goal post.if the ball only touches the line of goal post it is not count as a goal.

                                   these are the some of the rules which the football players should remember while playing the game .
